Guidelines For Letter OF Intent (LOI) Submission

The ENTELLIGENCE Young Investigator Program is a US-based research program consistent with Actelion Pharmaceutical US, Inc.’s commitment to basic science, translational, and clinical research in the area of pulmonary vascular disease.

Individual grants of up to $100,000 are provided to qualified investigators to conduct research on the basic mechanisms and/or vascular biology of pulmonary vascular disease via a 12-month mentored grant. Grants are awarded by the ENTELLIGENCE Steering Committee and based on scientific merit, originality, feasibility, and applicability to the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension.

The application process is simple:

1. Confirm your eligibility, including acquiring a mentor*
2. Submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) proposal with an introduction, background, hypothesis and objectives, and specific aims
3. If the LOI is selected, submit a full grant

*Please note that mentorship for this YI program is a critical component of eligibility, as well as an important criterion for a competitive application. Adequate mentorship and strong support from both your institution and mentor are required for a successful application.

The LOI must be submitted electronically via the ENTELLIGENCE Web site.
